These sessions take place outdoors in Michigan — in late fall and winter — so we fully expect some less-than-perfect weather. Sessions will continue through cold, light snow, drizzle, and other manageable conditions unless the weather makes shooting unsafe or truly impractical. If that happens, a makeup date will be scheduled once the forecast is clear enough to make that call. Because each session includes a donation to Wing Classical Academy, session fees are nonrefundable. If you can’t attend the makeup date, your payment may be applied toward a future mini session or a larger portrait session.

Mini sessions are scheduled back-to-back, so your session will still end at the originally scheduled time. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can use the full 15 minutes together.

Absolutely. These minis are designed for groups of up to six people. If you’d like to photograph a larger or extended-family group, please contact me before booking so we can make sure there’s enough time and choose the best option for your group.

Wear something that feels like you, just a little more intentional—and keep in mind, it may be cold! Layers photograph beautifully and also make a chilly outdoor session much more comfortable. Think cozy knits, scarves, boots, jackets, textured coats, hats, or even a favorite blanket for the kids. Coordinating colors usually work better than perfectly matching outfits, and seasonal neutrals, deeper tones, denim, and classic holiday colors all photograph well. I’ll send a short style guide before your session with a few easy suggestions.

Your fully edited images will be delivered in a private online gallery within two weeks of your session. If your collection includes holiday cards, I’ll begin the card design process as soon as your final images are ready.

Once you approve your custom design, your order will be submitted that business day. Printed cards are typically delivered within about 2–3 business days.

For sessions booked on or before December 3, my goal is to have your finished holiday cards delivered to your door by Friday, December 18. I’ll prioritize editing and card design so there’s still time to get them mailed before Christmas.

If you need your images and cards sooner, expedited turnaround will be available for an additional fee. Rush orders receive priority editing, design, proofing, and print submission.

Priority and 48-hour rush delivery will be available as optional upgrades for families working against a holiday-card deadline.

Yes! Your collection includes a set number of edited digital images, and additional images or a full-gallery upgrade will be available after your session.

These sessions are intentionally less posed than a traditional family portrait. We’ll absolutely get the classic group shot, but most of the session will focus on you and your family naturally interacting—walking, laughing, cuddling, playing, and just being together. My goal is to capture the little moments and expressions that can get missed when everyone is simply standing still and smiling at the camera.
